It has been a great moment looking at this photography.
One of the main sensation which came was "it looks like a painting, a scene". The characters, the gesture of the central old man, the back of the woman, the shadow of another one... But... The main character isn't it the bread? There is so much of sense and force beyond the gesture of that old man. His passion, his job, the way he is maybe selling, maybe explaining why this lady should choose one bread instead of another...
Technically, yes a little better framing should have been perfect... But, light, composition (it looks like this shoot was difficult and on the go to take) are really well done. The light and tones are essential to this very visual and human shoot. Some of the tones remind me maybe of Hopper's works, and that is perhaps why I have thought first of a painting. Anyway, this work has provoked a contemplation and a lot of interest, a moment of peace and reflexion. So thank you, and greatly done!
